Ingredients:
- 250g macaroni
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp plain flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup grated cheese
- Salt according to taste
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp pepper powder
- Chopped parsley (optional).
- Cook the macaroni in a large pan of boiling water according to packet instructions. (cook till half done, drain it and keep aside ).
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan and add the flour. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute over medium-low heat.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring continuously so that no lumps formation is there, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Remove from the heat, add the grated cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Add pasta,bring it back on fire. Add salt, oregano and pepper to taste.
- Cook till you get correct consistency.
- Serve immediately sprinkled with chopped parsley.

i tried making pasta few days back, the white sauce turned into lil brownish :P lol.. coz i messed up the quantity of the flour, will try this way now.. thank you !!
I think u have kept the flour for longer time ....just keep it for one minute...till golden brown.
Shruti I tried white sauce pasta few days back it turned out to be yumm.. I tossed some minced garlic, put some tulsi leaves and then carrot and capsicum.. then poured this sauce over the veggies and added fusili pasta..then topped it up with oregano.. I didnt have cheese and still it tasted good.. I m so glad I could make it..
