Mango Tango Mocktail

Hi Friends,
Summers started and we all are protecting ourselves from this scorching heat .....How can we forget the king of fruits MANGO in summers??

The raw mango is highly appreciated for its nutritional value they are excellent source of Vitamin C, Raw mango guards you from negative affects of excessive hot temperature and adding MINT along with mango is a bliss. Mint acts as a cooling sensation to the skin and a very good cleanser for the blood.

This is one of my favorite recipes which I learnt from my MOM..... Sharing it with you all :) So don't forget to add this drink in your SUMMER'S Special DIET.....

  • 2 raw mangoes
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp dry mint leaves powder
  • 1/4 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp black salt
  • Crushed ice
  • a few mint leaves (pudina)

  • Pour 1 cup of water and sugar in a heavy bottomed pan and cook  till the sugar dissolves completely, keep stirring continuously.

  • In the meanwhile, peel and chopped raw mangoes and keep them aside.

  • Now add the mangoes and cook on a medium flame for  5-7 minutes, till the mangoes are cooked.

  • Remove from fire and keep aside to cool.
  • Put the cooked mangoes in the mixer, blend till the mixture becomes smooth.
  • Transfer the mixture into a bowl, add dry mint leaves powder, black salt, roasted cumin powder. Mix well.

  • For serving, put crushed ice in the individual glasses and pour equal quantities of the drink over it.

  • Add water and garnish with mint leaves.
  • Serve chilled.

  1. You can store the mixture in the air tight bottle and keep it in the fridge for a week.
  2. Just pour the mixture in the glass, add water and ice. Serve.
