Mysore Pak is the famous dessert from Karnataka made up of sugar, ghee and gram flour. I tried this for the first time little tricky but you will be able to make it :-)
Ingredients:
1 cup gram flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup ghee
1/4 cup oil
Method:
- Grease a plate with little ghee and keep it aside. (I used baking tin)
- Mix oil and Besan.
- In a pan mix sugar and water, Boil them to get the required consistency of syrup.
- To check: Take the sugar syrup between the thumb and the index finger a single string will form that's the required consistency.
- Then add the besan mixture to the syrup and keep stirring.
- Add ghee slowly and keep stirring.
- Keep stirring till the mixture changes in texture and starts leaving the edges. The mixture will not be sticky anymore
- Pour the mixture into the greased pan. Just tap the plate little on the shelf to set the mixture.
- Grease the knife with ghee and cut it into squares/diamonds as per your wish while its hot.
- Enjoy your Mysore pak :-)
- Store them in the air tight container for future use
Hope I did justice to your recipe Divya :-)
